There is good news for 24 fans as Fox has given series orders to the new season of 24: Legacy.
24: Legacy is the next chapter in the action series by Howard Gordon (24: Live Another Day), executive producer Brian Grazer, writers and executive producers Manny Coto and Evan Katz; director and executive producer Stephen Hopkins; and executive producer and original series star Kiefer Sutherland.
A 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Television and Teakwood Lane Productions, 24: Legacy is an upcoming American television series which is a spin-off of 24which was created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran. Consisting of 12 episodes, the show follows the life of war hero Eric Carter, played byCorey Hawkins, using real time method of narration.
Kiefer Sutherland who played the star, Jack Bauer in previous installments of the series is not expected on Legacy, but in a recent interview, the award-winning actor didn’t sound as steadfast as he had been. He said, “I’ve said that twice and have been wrong, so I won’t say that again. . . . It’s a phenomenal script. I think it’s going to be incredibly liberating for the writers to not have to figure out one more bad day for Jack Bauer. They get to write for new characters. And Bauer’s still out there, so you never know what’s going to happen.”
The series is scheduled to premiere on February 5, 2017.
