Nigeria’s David Oyelowo & Uzo Aduba Miss Out On Golden Globe AGAIN!

Our prayers were not answered.

We had prayed (and fasted) that at least one of Nigerian duo David Oyelowo or Uzo Aduba would win in their respective Best Performance in a Miniseries or Television Film (Nightingale as Peter Snowden) and Best Supporting Performance in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film categories (Orange Is the New Black as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren) at this morning’s Golden Globe Awards.

But they both lost out. They were pipped to the honour by Oscar Isaac – Show Me a Hero and Maura Tierney – The Affair.

Oyelowo’s loss leaves him still without a Golden Globe award having also been nominated in 2014 for playing Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma. Uzo is also winless after two nominations.

If you missed it, here is the full list of winners on the night.
