Good news is that the much awaited Gidi Blues, a film by ace filmmaker, Femi Odugbemi opens in Nigeria’s cinemas from June 24, 2016. At the premiere a week ago attended by creme de la creme of entertainment crowd, Femi Odugbemi’s mastery of his art earned him and the suspenseful love drama a deserving standing ovation. Gidi Blues, set around Lagos, is highly entertaining and confirms Femi Odugbemi as one of the most creative and important film directors on the African continent today. I recommend Gidi Blues.
