Reports reaching TNS states that cinema chain, FilmHouse has refused to screen Omoni Oboli‘s controversial film, Okafor’s Law following the court injunction prohibiting the film from being screened.
TNS had exclusively revealed that Raconteur Productions had proceeded to drag the filmmaker and her Dioni Visions before a Federal High Court in Lagos following the allegations of theft labelled against her by writer, Jude Idada.
Idada alleged that Oboli stole the story for her upcoming film featuring the likes of Richard Mofe Damijo, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Gabriel Afolayan, Ufuoma McDermott, Toyin Aimakhu and Oboli herself.
The premiere of the Okafor’s Law which is supposed to hold in Lekki tonight has been ruined by the injunction with FilmOne reportedly refusing to screen the film and guests already leaving.
However, reports reaching us state that the director/producer is insisting on “going ahead” with the screening.
