She takes the lead in upcoming movie, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel. We surely do hope to see a lot more of her this year.

Rahama Sadau

Rahama was just a pretty actress in Kannywood until to she got a chance to play alongside Ali Nuhu in Gani ga Wane. Then she was involved in a controversial issue that prompted her expulsion from that industry but she has since bounced back. She has starred in The Light Will Come, Sons of the Caliphate and the recent The Accidental Spy with Ramsey Nouah. She is believed to be a cast of an upcoming Yoruba movie and we can’t wait to see her from another angle.

Bisola Aiyeola

Before her appearance on the reality show, Big Brother Naija, Bisola had, undoubtedly, been serving us her wonderful talent. From her Instagram funny videos, to her outstanding performance in web series Skinny Girl in Transit and Biodun Stephen’s  Picture Perfect. We can boldly say Bisola is just starting.

Somkele Idhalama

Not much was seen last year from this delectable actress who had her big breakout in 2016 when she featured in box office hits, The Arbitration, 93 Days, The Wedding Party amongst others. Somkele is definitely an onscreen goddess who we cannot wait to see yet again.

Saint Obi

Veteran actor, popularly known as Nollywood’s Mr Quality, left the radar years ago without any prior notice and he left us heartbroken, bad we wondered what we ever did that made him leave. Well the news is, he is back and came back in a mind blowing style. He has returned with five movies: After The Vows, Mrs Brown, Big Shot, Invaders, My Yesterday which are all set to hit the cinemas soon enough. We are thrilled that he is back and we hope he stays.

Mike Godson

He is a well known actor and model who rose to fame after his role in 7 Books of Moses, a movie produced in 2010. Before you roll your eyes, we know quite well that he has been around for years and has acted in over 100 movies, yet, we never saw anything spectacular about his acting until his role in A Little White Lie. Though a very predictable and unoriginal story, Mike Godson played his role with a kind of panache. He was the star of the movie and we believe Mike can do even better this year. No more village prince roles, Mike should get a challenging role this year.

We would like to know actors you are also watching out for this year.
