Obasi, who couldn’t hide his excitement said:
To World premiere my first Sci-fi Fantasy effort (first among many) at this most prestigious event, as well as in the International Competition category shows that dreams do come true. There’s a lot of people who have made this dream of ours possible. Chief of which is Nnedi Okorafor, who gave me the keys to this tale. I’ll forever be grateful for such an unprecedented belief. Our collaborators and funders from Igodo Films and Matanya Films. Sodas N Popcorn, Dixtrit.Media our partners, and all the sponsors now and pending, our cast and crew, you guys are our rock. I thank you for believing in the vision, and trusting the journey, and the process. This is the beginning of greater things, and together we’ll ride this train to glory. You are gods. #Afrofuturism #HelloRain #NnediOkorafor
