“Gidi Up”, “Skinny Girl In Transit”: Which Shows May Be Affected By Ndani TV Fire Incident?

Following Sunday’s fire outbreak at online TV content provider, Ndani TV, TNS takes a look at some of your favourite shows that may be affected.

Reports which reached us yesterday put the worth of equipment lost in the inferno at millions of Naira were lost in the fire. These equipment include cameras, computers, lighting equipment and much more.

However, beyond equipment lost, it is feared that many of the content produced for broadcast by the online channel may have also been lost in the incident.

Below are some of the platform’s most popular shows that may be affected.

1. Season 3 of Gidi Up

After two successful seasons of Lagos-themed drama, Gidi Up, fans of the show eagerly anticipated the third season of the show. Earlier in the year, Ndani TV released the teaser for the third season of the show and it included social media sensation, Bobrisky as well as Nollywood star, Odunlade Adekola.

2. Skinny Girl in Transit

The popular show recently reached the season 3 finale and it is believed that work had since commenced on the fourth season of the show. Skinny Girl in Transit features Ayo Adesanya, Ayoola Ayolola, Dami Elebe, Ema Edosio, Inidinma Okojie, Jadesola Osiberu, Kenneth Okolie, Muhammad Attah Ahmed, Ngozi Nwosu, Sharon Oja, Timini Egbuson, Tiwalade Awosika and more.

3. The Juice

The last episode of The Juice was released on September 10, 2016 with a special with international act, Jidenna. Fans of the show have since been anticipating a return of the Dorcas Shola Fapson-hosted celebrity show.

Despite an official attempt by the platform to allay fears about any of its show being affected due to Sunday’s unfortunate incident, sources say there might actually be substantial disruption of some of the shows especially the anticipated third season of Gidi Up.

A visit to Ndani TV’s YouTube channel reveals that the show’s teaser has been made private. It is however unknown if this is as a fallout of yesterday’s tragedy.
