Nollywood actress and producer, Omoni Oboli was recently announced as one of five female ambassadors for the Toronto International Film Festival‘s campaign.
The campaign was themed Share Her Journey and is an initiative by TIFF meant to “Champion female storytellers”. She was selected alongside Jennifer Baichwal, Carol Nguyen, Ann Marie Fleming and Ashley McKenzie.
According to TIFF, it has a five-year commitment to increasing participation, skills, and opportunities for women behind and in front of the camera as well as prioritising gender parity with a focus on mentorship, skills development, media literacy, and activity for young people.
Omoni Oboli then took to Instagram to announce to her fans and supporters, saying:
