AMVCA Winner and social media sensation, Falz The Bahd Guy has slammed the proposed formation of the Motion Picture Practitioners Council of Nigeria (MOPICON).
Speaking as a panelist at the fourth Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NEC), the actor and singer said that it was ridiculous to imply that people have to be a part of a council before they could showcase their creative “motion picture” content.
Falz who made his name posting hilarious skits on Instagram said, “How can you say if someone wants to post motion picture on YouTube, they have to join a council? The MOPICON Bill is ridiculous.
Comedian Bovi also added his voice to the debate saying the bill will only further cripple the industry.
