Netflix has premiered the trailer for season 5 of hit TV series, Orange Is the New Black.
The fifth season of the show will open with a riot sparked by Poussey’s death, which quickly escalates when the inmates gain control of the prison. Once they get a taste of power, chaos erupts in the halls of Litchfield.
Orange Is the New Black 5 will premiere on June 9, 2017. It features returning cast which includes Nigeria’s Uzo Aduba, Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Danielle Brooks, Adrienne C. Moore, Jackie Cruz, Laverne Cox, Lea DeLaria and Natasha Lyonne.
It is created by Jenji Kohan and produced by Tilted Productions in association with Lionsgate Television and the show is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir, “Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison” (2010), about her experiences at FCI Danbury, a minimum-security federal prison.
