Bolanle Olukanni’s Documentary About Marginalization Of Widows, “God’s Wives”, To Premiere Tomorrow

God’s Wives, a documentary that focuses on the marginalization of widows by TV girl Bolanle Olukanni is set to premiere to industry heavyweights tomorrow, December  19, 2017.

According to Olukanni:

In December of last year I began working with a group of women who are widows and single mothers. I heard about alot of their stories and was deeply moved by the hardship they have faced.

In March of this year, I opened Skills Acquisition Centre that trains the women in Catering, Makeup – Artistry and also Tailoring. 75 women have completed the course and recently graduated.

I decided to produce God’s Wives focusing on two of the women’s stories.

Beyond being a documentary, God’s Wives is a foundation that seeks to establish multiple empowerment centres throughout Africa that will train women on vocational skills and entrepreneurship skills.

God’s Wives was created to advocate, empower and motivate the needs of marginalized women in our communities.
The guest list for the event which is scheduled to hold at the Silverbird Cinemas by 6pm is a combination of celebrities, socialists and industry leaders.
