TNSSo, outspoken Nollywood director, Mildred Okwo seems to belong to the school of thought that the current box office successes of slapstick/comedy films do not represent long-term success for the industry.
In a series of tweets, Okwo seemed to take a swipe at the producers of the current box office record holding franchise – The Wedding Party.
She tweeted:
We will continue to make mindless films as long as people are rushing to pay for them.
Mildred Okwo’s Bankers NGR, a new TV series she’s working on is still awaiting a release date.
