Following the backlash meted out on her by thousands of social media users over disappointing a bride, Maryiam Elisha also known as Rekaotobyme has released a statement to explain the details of the transaction between herself and the bride.
On Monday, a disturbed bride had accused Rekaotobyme of taking money from her to sew her second wedding dress and disappointing her with excuses just a day to her wedding. She also revealed matters got worse when the same dress was spotted on Mercy Aigbe for her 40th Birthday Shoot.
But the designer has now revealed that both dresses belonging to Mercy Aigbe and the bride were of the same style and measurement.
‘According to the designer. there was an error on dispatch as both dressed were of the same style and measurement’
She said, “We admit that a dispatch error occurred on the delivery of the dress to Miss Lawrentta who was set to get married on the 30th December and the pick up of another dress on behalf of the actress, Mercy Aigbe”.
The statement further reads ‘on realizing the error on dispatch, we quickly tried to rectify the mix-up, but it was too late as the wrong dress was already on its way to Edo State for the bride to be’.
